OUTDOOR GRAFFITI PROJECTIONS
For this particular project, I tried producing works without a projector and using mirrors as a form of projection instead. This took place in an area of Derby where there is graffiti to view on every wall. From colourful to ordinary and dull designs, I tested out reflections using mirrors in many ways, showing that this work can be a form of visual communication. It was intriguing to see what you can achieve with just using mirrors as a form of projecting an image instead of the use of technology. Graffiti is something seen as urban and questioned in modern day society on whether it is vandalism or art? Reflecting on this issue, it was interesting to show how much we should appreciate the patience, effort and requirement it takes to produce the designs found and added into my work. It's something you may choose to question why or choose to admire.
